Hello all, I am very new to Exchange so apologies if my background knowledge is limited.
My ex-partner (who is an IT sys admin) setup our home/business server and virtualised it onto ESXi 5.1.
On top of this is running Windows Small Business Server 2011 (SBS2011) as the domain controller. It runs a bunch of applications including MS Exchange Server 2010.
Email was (and has always) working perfectly on this system until I recently updated ESXi from 5.1 to 6.0.
Once I did this and without making any changes to the virtual machine or to any settings in SBS2011 or exchange server itself I can no longer connect to the mail server.
I cannot connect either externally to it (i.e. outside of domain which could be due to a lot of reasons) or to it from any client inside the domain.
I have done a few checks on the health of exchange server itself from within SBS itself and everything seems fine.
Other than the ESXi update itself nothing else has changed but I just cannot connect to exchange?
Is there any other clever way I can check connectivity to exchange? Is there anything in the update that might have changed functionality?
Any advice would be very appreciated as this is really effecting my operation at the moment.
