Transport Rule in a Coexistence Environment

We have Exchange Server 2010 and Exchange Server 2013 running in coexistence environment.

I applied a transport rule on Exchange Server 2013. While trying to verify the rule in Exchange 2010 Management Console:

Rule " " was created on an Exchange Server running a later version then the current version and it cannot be displayed correctly.The rule will be evaluated by Exchange Servers running a version of Exchange compatible with this rule.

Kindly let me know if the rule will work on Exchange Server 2010 or only for Exchange 2013.
