reduce cpu & ram allocation

Hi

We originally sized our exchange 2013 DAG environment to host thousands of mailboxes, but since we have moved 95% of our mailboxes to EXO I wondered if I can just reduce CPU and RAM on each of the DAG nodes.

They are all sitting on VM and wondered if I just powered them down 1 at a time and reduced CPU count from 8 to 4 and reduced RAM from 48GB to 24GB, then change page file, would this be OK or would exchange complain in some way.
