DNS SRV Records - Autodiscover - Mobile Devices

We are moving to exchange 2013 and have multiple domains to host. I understand we have 3 ways to implement autodiscover across all accepted domains:

1. Increase the number of subject alternative names on the certificate by replacing it or requesting the certificate vendor re-issue it, along with the addition ofAutoDiscover DNS records for each domain.
2. Add a Service Location DNS record (SRV record) for each new domain, as described inKB940881.
3. Use AutoDiscover Redirection to provide a single point for HTTP redirect to our singleautodiscover.exchangelabs.co.uk HTTPS name.

1 is not practical in our situation and neither is 3. So 2 is left but i read that tablets and smartphones have very little support of SRV records. Has anyone found this to be true?
