We want to provide Exchange-Service over Public Internet-Network (RPC over HTTP). The OWA works, but the RPC-Connection within Outlook fails.
https://testconnectivity.microsoft.com/ says:
Das Ende der Zertifikatkette war kein vertrauenswürdiger Stamm. Stamm = CN=exchange.comfine.de
Verstrichene Zeit: 34 ms.
This means in english: The end of the Certificate-Chain was not from a trusted root. At my research i found informations, that RPC over HTTP does not work with a self-signed certificate.
my question now is: can i use rpc over http wihtout buying a certificate? is there some way to create a accepted certificate? or if not, is there any other way to connect outlook with exchange 2013 over internet?
