I recently migrated a client from Exchange 2003 to 2010. Everything seems to be working ok, except for an issue with the OAB, some Free/Busy information and setting the Out of Office.
Downloading the OAB will prompt the user for credentials and no credentials seem to work. Free/Busy will show the hash tags, and Out of Office says the server is unavailable.
My research tells me that all of these have autodiscover in common.
But here is the catch. If I create a new AD account by copying an existing user that has the issue and create a new mailbox for that user, everything works. So this copied user will have the same group membership, GPOs applied, same logon scripts, same OU, same profile path etc. For this copied user, Out of office reports no errors, OAB downloads fine, and free/busy works.
The majority of these users are in a Citrix environment so they are all hitting the same servers so it also does not appear to be an OS issue. And since the new users work, I'm pretty confident all my settings are right in Exchange.
So - could these exisiting users still have some legacy settings that are causing this issue?
I've run out of ideas and would greatly appreciate some ideas and assistance.
Thank you in advance.
