I have a company that we have acquired and want to be able to move users from theirs domain (Domain B) to our domain (Domain A).
I have already set up a 2 way trust between both domains and have a point to point VPN between the sites. I have also set up DNS to replicate between sites, and email between domains is routed through send connectors for the opposite domain.
I plan to change domain B from authoritative to Internal Relay on the domain B infrastructure and look for mailboxes on Exchange Domain A if not found on Exchange Domain B.
I have not made the changes yet, but can set up my Domain B mailboxes, on my Domain A Exchange by using linked disabled accounts and can send SMTP outbound.
The problem I have, is that auto-discover wants to point the Domain B users to Domain B Exchange infrastructure and not the Domain A Exchange where I have migrated my users to. I can obviously configure the Outlook clients manually, but Auto-discover still kicks in. Is there a way to turn it off from an Outlook client, or is it domain/dns based.
