In fact, I'm using Exchange 2010 but I believe the question (and response) would apply to DAGs in either 2010 or 2013.
So here's my question:
We happen to operate in Outlook (Exchange) online mode. That's simply the way the organization has chosen to operate.
There are pros and cons to this approach (no issues with OST or OAB files, for example, but more load on the server itself).
But what about DAGs?
In case of a failover (or switchover), there is nothing to attenuate the break in connection with the active server.
I'm trying to gauge the effect on user experience. This is all I've found in Technet:
So there will be a noticeable interruption but (crucial point)... will connectivity be re-established automatically?
Will users be "back in business" after a minute or so?
Has anyone had any real life experience with this (beyond what was related in the link above)?
Thanks in advance!
