I have an Exchange 2013 CU1 that I have setup many receive connectors up for but seem to have a problematic one in particular.
The setup is to allow anonymous (yes I have run the ADD-ADPermission cmdlet) and is restricted down to the one IP for the remote host receive information. This is required due to the nature of the application I am using on the remote PC.
So, the error that comes up is a typical error:
530 5.7.1 Client was not authenticated
Also, I can telnet into the Exchange Server and get the same failure after the mail from: my@emailaddress.com
So, to fix this, I have to disable the receive connector in the ECP, wait a little while (a minutes or so) and then enable. I can now use the application to send logs via mail and also get all the expected responses and completed telnet session to send mail.
This isn't a suitable workaround as I only receive a small portion of the logs before the system falls over and I have to repeat the process again.
Here is my Receive connector config. Thanks in advance
