Unable to forward some mails as attachment to other mailbox

Currently, we have two functional mailbox migrated from 2007 to 2013, and there are rules for any mail arrived, it will be automatically forward the mail as an attachment to other mailboxes. However, after migration, found that the mail seems can't be forwarded as expected. There is an error "Agent generated message depth exceeded". Anyone has idea please?? Thanks!

Hello All,

thank you for the support which i receive here always. I am in situation where i need to choose between fixed and dynamic VHDx for virtualization Exchange server 2013.

I have bought the veeam Backup software and veeam doesnt Support the Direct connect drive to The VM and it skips when it creates the Backup of Exchange server.

so I now need to assign virtual VHDx to the Exchange 2013 Server on the hyper v 2012 R2 host. Veeam support both fixed and dynamic VHDx but i am not sure which kind of Virtual disk will be better for the Database Drive.

should i go with Dynamic or fixed size Disk for Exchange 2013 Server ?

HTTP Not Redirect TO HTTPS

Hello All,

We did configure port redirection on firewall and configured IIS as follows:

1- HTTPS Redirect : Redirect requests to this destination (HTTPS://mail.contoso.com/owa in IIS ).

2- Redirect Behavior ( Redirect all requests to exact destination ) 

3- Status Code (302)

Now if i type HTTP://mail.contoso.com/owa through desktop browser then it will be redirect from HTTP to HTTPS, but if i try to logon through i phone, then i cant ( no direction). 

Is there is any extra configuration i should do.

( In Redirect Behavior, if i select "only redirect requests to content in this directory", when i wont redirect to HTTPS through desktop.

Our company component MS Exchange 2010 STD server+ MS Outlook 2013 but the public holiday 2017 is different to govement (outlook.hol), I'd like to know how to update the MS Exchange server can update all client outlook 2013 (300 person).

Hello all,

I was hoping to get some clarification regarding the following:

I have and Exchange Server 2013 and I would like to add general email disclaimers for all email accounts in our organization. However, after configure the required settings in EAC, i noticed that there is no option of changing the font color or size. Please advise.

suddenly my CAS01 canot start MS Exchange Search Host Controllers

I Check the event viewer to, this is the error

please help team, what is the issue ?

but in production, there is no impact for OWA logon and outlook.

Hi,

I am renaming my domain administrator account to different name but when i change the email address , I am getting the following

error
The proxy address "SMTP:Administrator@domain.com" is already being used by the proxy addresses or LegacyExchangeDN of "domain.com/Users/abc". Please choose another proxy address.
Click here for help...
Couldn't update the primary SMTP address because this mailbox is configured to use an email address policy. To disable the email address policy for this mailbox, run the command with the EmailAddressPolicyEnabled parameter set to $false.


how i can set new email id on email address policy and if i will disable this parameter "EmailAddressPolicyEnabled" what will be the effect on other users

Commands to allow distro group managing globally 200+ groups exchange 2007

I found plenty of articles on how to add a user to manage distro groups one at a time but we have hundreds of groups and constantly add new ones.  Is there a command that allows me to just Add "Sally" to manage any and all groups present and future?

Exchange 2007

DC's are 2008 SP2

Accessing a 2nd Mailbox using an Additional Outlook Profile in Exch2013

Hi all,

I cant believe I’m asking this question as it seems ridiculous but in exchange 2013 have Microsoft removed the ability to open up a mailbox logged in as UserA and open up UserB's mailbox.

Permissions are all fine, UserA can open up UserB from within their Outlook profile and can open it via OWA.

When it comes to opening it up via a second outlook profile it just will not work. We still have most of the Org on 2010 and those mailboxes open fine, DNS is pointing to 2013 so the proxying back is fine. So its just affecting those mailboxes on 2013, doesnt matter if its a Regular user, linked, equipment or room mailbox, None will open unless you are logged in as the primary user account for that mailbox.

I’ve now read a couple (i know that’s not definitive) of articles where it seems people are reporting this problem and no one has come up with a fix\working solution.

Can anyone with Exchange 2013 confirm this does work?

We are still in an RPC over HTTP model as, hoping to enable MAPI over HTTP in the
future.

And how to fix this please share some light if you have come across this please. 

There was no endpoint listening at net.pipe://localhost/ER.Engine/MailsProcessingUnit that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. See InnerException, if present, for more details.

Mount Points Best Practise

Our Exchange 2013 Mailbox servers currently have a D: drive and within this D drive there are Netapp mount points which hold the database.

So for example:

D:\Mountpoints\database1

D:\Mountpoints\database2

My question is, is this really best practice? My conern is that if the D drive goes down, we loose all our database. I'm thinking it may be a better approach to present the mount points as actual disk drives to the VM. so F: holds database1 G: database2 etc...

Just wanted to get some opinions on this.

Messages in inbox showed as drafts mode

 I have a 2013 exchange server in my environment everything was normal, but today some users when opening their mailboxes using Outlook 2013 and also 2016 presented problems, all the messages in the inbox appears as drafts mode.
have Someone already encountered this type of problem?

Exchange Contacts disappear from Outlook 2013 + outlook combines contacts unnecessarily

From time to time I suddenly find that a contact has just disappeared.  Where can I find them to reinstate?  Does this mean the file was corrupted?  Can I run something to prevent this happening?  Also have problem that Outlook combines similar but not identical contacts, muddling up tel nos.  How do I prevent this happening.  Usually occurs when a title is involved, ie Lord somebody & combines it with Mrs same surname....

Hi,


I've setup a rule following example 1 at page https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn950026%28v=exchg.150%29.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396

This rule partially works, the email is blocked when it contains an attachment but it is also block when it does not contain any attachement.I would really appreciate any help provided here.

The delivery failure is clear and display notification from the rule created : "This
message has been rejected because it contains an attachment."

Users on Exchange 2013 cannot access mailboxes on the VPN

Hi,

We are running coexistence for Exchange 2007 SP3 and 2103 CU13 and any staff moved to Exchange 2013 cannot access their mailboxes in Outlook 2010 while on the VPN.  It never connects just times out.  We have added the IPs for the new Ex2013 servers to our existing "Outlook Ports" Firewall thinking this would be all, but no dice.

The "Outlook Ports" rule currently configured in the FW contains the following ports:

TCP  135

TCP  6001-6002

TCP  63005-63006

TCP  88

TCP  443

TCP  389

Do we need to add more ports, or is it a setting on the mailbox when moved to Exchange 2013?
