the exchange server (2013) not working (not sending and receiving email) , connecting and disconnected again , in queue viewer show error 432 4.3.2 mailbox database is offline for mailbox database ,

from outlook side :

connecting and disconnected again and no emails received or sent

from OWA side :

something went wrong

On an customers Exchange 2013 CU11 Server on Server 2012 R2 I discovered, that there were hundreds of eseutil and conhost processes open in taskmanager.

eseutil 142 times
conhost 149 times

Any idea what that could be?

When I run Exchange Setup, the process is interrupted with the following error:

Hello.

Please, help me resolve the problem. We use Exchange Server for mail.

Any user using, for example, Thunderbird, can substitute the address of the sender. A user of my organization can receive a letter (mail) from any invented mailing address. The real address of the sender can be viewedonly in the details of the message.

How to configure the Exchange Server so that the user in the column "from:" was displayedthe real address of the sender?

Hi, we would like to move from a separate custom application for scheduling rooms to using Rooms within Exchange.  One of the key functionalities we still need is the ability toSearch for rooms by things such as capacity, equipment within the room, etc.

Browse only is not practical due to the large number of rooms.

The idea being Scheduling Assistant / Add Rooms / and in the Search box enter fields e.g. whiteboard, video conference, etc. and also modify the Advanced Find template to add check boxes for Whiteboard, Video Conference, etc

The search results would be based on user input.

I know it is possible to add custom fields for these attributes to room mailbox but they just show in the Description field (no ability to search on)

We've been running the Sync-MailPublicFolders.ps1 script through the Exchange Management Shell. After MFA was enabled for the Exchange Online Admin account, the script fails. Is there a workaround for this?

I am carrying out a migration from exchange 2007 to 2013, I already have the exchange 2013 servers installed, coexistence was validated and everything is in order.
yesterday we migrated the OWA address part to the exchange servers, all that normal, create test users in exchange 2013 and the flow is correct, only that, when I want to add an account from a mobile (cellular) device, you can authenticate and therefore I can not configure the account, you can guide me to know that I need to modify please!

I have 1 exchange with Edge transport role and 1 Exchange with CAS/MBX role. Exchange Edge transport server don't send any DSN e-mails. All e-mails are failed with error

I'm a network Engineer and I've worked on a huge exchange 2003-2013 migration project and I'd like to solidify this experiences I've gained with a certificate. I've never took any MS certification before.

We have a hybrid setup, on premises Exchange 2013 CU19/Office 365.

Inbound mail fro mO365 to on prem flows fine, mail from outside the organization to all users flows fine. However, from on prem users to O365 users has to be routed via our email gateway because if I enable the send connector for on prem to O365 (setup by the hybrid configuration wizard) mail stops flowing to O365 users from on prem. All other mail is unaffected.

Delivery is set to MX record, our tenant name listed in the address space with a cost of 1, all mailbox servers listed in the source servers. We also have a firewall NAT to allow traffic fro mthe mailbox servers out and the public IP addresses of this NAT listed in the connection filter in Exchange online.

As soon as I enable the send connector, mail stops flowing from on prem to O365. Microsoft support just keep telling me to enable the rule and, even when I demonstrate that this breaks mailflow they insist it has to be enabled and something else must be causing this issue. Connector enabled = no mail flow, connector disabled = mail flow though via the email gateway (which introduces new issues)

Anybody have any suggestions for what I can try to get this flowing correctly?

We have a mailbox (oncall@xxx.com) we use to push sync contacts for the person on call. We add it to users iphones using the the actual email account (oncall@xxx.com) and only sync contacts. Everyone once in awhile their default contact list on their iphone will get changed and they start adding personal contacts to the on call contact list. 

Is there a way to prevent a mail user in this case oncall@xxx.com from saving contacts to their own contact list? This way if the default contact list on the iphone gets changed they will not be able to save personal contacts to the on call contact list.

Hi Team,

I have imported the ECC TLS cert with 384 Bits algorithm which was created from a third party security company via either EAC cert import wizard or EMS but nothing shows after the import based on the below link:

If I used mmc to import, it would crash all certificates that I could not log into EAC or could not launch EMS anymore. Then, I needed to revert the VM snapshot. Anyone knows ECC TLS cert with 384 Bits algorithm is compatible with Exchange 2013? But Exchange works for RSATLS cert with 384 Bits algorithm via mmc though! Any thought? Please advise.

Hi, After connecting to hotel wifi, outlook will no more connect to exchange server, except if is connected to corporate network or in that specific hotel. if connected to any other hotspot it will not connect to exchange server. our service desk solution was to reimage that laptop. in the mean time, that user has received a different laptop, went to the same hotel and returned with the same issue. it is working inside corporate network but not on external network. please point me in the right direction.

We have a user who is on litigation hold. Their mailbox has gotten to the size where it's not functioning well. They are asking that we delete messages by date to get rid of some of the baggage. We need to move those messages into their dumpster for legal retention requirements.

My scripting skills are pretty weak so I came up with a clunky method....move the messages from the user (litholdmailbox) to a shared mailbox (repositorymailbox) and then from the repositorymailbox back into the dumpster of the litholdmailbox. One drawback of this is that I don't know how to specify the litholdmailbox dumpster as a target.

Step 1......

Search-Mailbox -targetmailbox "repositorymailbox" -Identity "litholduser" -SearchQuery {received:"01/07/2018..01/08/2018"} -Verbose -SearchDumpster:$false -TargetFolder "repository" -LogLevel full -deletecontent -Confirm:$false -Force
