how can we give full mailbox access permissions to a particular user in database level in exchange server 2013.
below command is working fine for existing users only. in future if new users added i need to run command again and again for every user.
Get-Mailbox | Add-MailboxPermission -User <user>-AccessRights Fullaccess -InheritanceType all
so i need command in database level. i tried some commands but not working.
please share your ideas
I have a co-existing 2010 2013 Exchange environment.
The 2013 is a DAG with 3 members each with 2 nics each, across 3 sites, right now everything works fine.
any problems with me renaming just the nics?

Setup - Exchange 2013 Standard with SP1 - Mailbox and CAs in one server.
We are getting hundreds and sometimes thousands of event id 4625 from w3wp process daily. Is anyone experiencing this issue and were you able to fix it? We opened a case with the Exchange team for this issue and they are telling us that this is by design.
Everyone using Exchange 2013 should be experiencing the same issue if the event is by design.

This event is generated when a logon request fails. It is generated on the computer where access was attempted.
The Subject fields indicate the account on the local system which requested the logon. This is most commonly a service such as the Server service, or a local process such as Winlogon.exe or Services.exe.

I recently deployed a new exchange 2013 server. When I take backup during windows server backup, it seems that Microsoft Exchange Server Extension for Windows Server Backup service is not running. After completion of backup, logs are not purging. It's a new server.
I am taking full vss backup.

I have two exchange servers (exchange 2010) in a dag with two databases. The production exchange server and a dr exchange server. Both of the exchange servers have a cas and I have not setup a cas array. I have set the -RpcClientAccessServer to the production exchange server.
Is this a valid configuration?
Is it possible to prevent connections to the second exchange server? I find on email headers and on outlook 2010 connection status that there is connections to the second exchange server constantly, even though all mailboxes are on the production server and -RpcClientAccessServer is production server.
Thought I just share a bug I found in Exchange 2013 CU5, that has been confirmed Microsoft Exchange Technical Support. My customer have a mix Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2013 organization. When CU5 where installed, OWA redirection when FBA is turned off on both 2007 and 2013, is broken.
Short-term solution before there is a fix: Enable FBA on both 2007 and 2013.

We are considering moving to office 365, apparently exchange server comes included...
We do bulk mail, and in talking to some people at azure they recommended exchange server...
I talked to a guy in chat and asked if exchange can handle the amount we do and he indicated it could but we have to send it in smaller batches.
Roughly we send around 250k emails once a week. Is there a non pain in the ass way to get these lists broke up and sent from exchange server? can exchange really send this many per day?

I am converting normal user mailboxes to linked mailboxes in Exchange 2007 SP3. After a pilot, we found that the linked accounts no longer had access to shared mailboxes (the share mailboxes will NOT be converted into linked accounts). The Full Access ACL references the OLDOMIAN\username AD account. Manually adding NEWDOMAIN\username to the ACL fixes things. Is there an easy way to export the Full Access and Send As permissions for the shared mailboxes and switch them to NEWDOMAIN\username with PowerShell? I have a feeling this will involve a lot data manipulation with Excel. Too bad there is no ADMT style security translation tool for Exchange mailboxes!
I have Exchange 2013 setup following the hosting guidance documents provided by Microsoft. We have several companies in our umbrella, so this design makes the most sense. The one issue I have is that we have three domains ("Tenants") who work out of the same physical office, and share a single physical conference room.
I need a solution to setting up a room mailbox for this conference room, and have anybody from each of the three companies access it for scheduling purposes.
With the EAB policies and access to each other's GAL denied, I am not sure how to resolve the issue.

For a local exchange mailbox to show up we need to create a mailbox in hybrid exchange, what if it wasn’t done and we need the mailbox to show up on Local hybrid exchange and as well as on Exchange Online.

I'm migrating from Domino to Exchange soon, and Domino allows our pre-populated addresses to pull from the Company Address Book. I'm trying to accomplish this in Exchange 2013, for my users who will all be running Outlook 2013. My goal is to have their Auto-Complete contain all addresses in the GAL by default. Then function as normal once those are populated.

I want to hide mobile field on oulook 2013 contact card. I can do that for Outlook 2010 but i cannot it for Outlook 2013.
I am using this register key for Outlook 2010 it is working perfecly this registery key put the title instead of mobile phone but it does not work for Outlook 2013.
