Operation failed when trying to mark mail as junk

$

I have a small pilot group of users on Exchange 2013, all other users are on Exchange 2007. Some of the pilot group have reported they get an Operation Failed error when they right click messages and try to mark them as junk. The same goes for anything that is in the junk mail folder they try to mark as not junk.

These same users were able to do this on 2007.

The affected users are running Office 2010 Pro on Windows 7 Enterprise. Is this issue caused by a missing patch/update or is there something else I need to do to fix this issue?

Exchange 2013 Mailbox Move FailedOther

$

I am attempting to move 600 Mailboxes from my Exchange 2010 SP3 environment over to my Exchange 2013 environment all in all everything is going smooth Exchange is functioning properly.

I have successfully moved half of my users in which I found a problem with 2 accounts. The move status shows "FailedOther" at 95% complete. I have been searching the google for 2 days now and I have not found a solution to this problem. The user account still shows that is on our old Exchange 2010 server. I have attempted to force restart the move but that fails and it says at FailedOther.

Has anyone seen this problem before? My Environment is as follows

1 Server Mailbox server EMS - Mail box roles -  Specs 8 Procs, 14 GB of RAM running on a VM Server 2012 DC

1 Server Cas server - Client access server -  4 Procs, 12 GB Ram running on a VM Server 2012 DC

Exchange 2013 CU1 and all accumulative updates since CU1 release.

I read some where this was because I didn't have enough resources for the move which I then bumped up the server to the current specs and rebooted the VM. I restarted the move with

Get-MoveRequest | where{$_.Status -eq "FailedOther"} | Resume-MoveRequest

Do I need to remove this move request and start from the beginning or should this command work?

Mails struck in Drafts folder after Transport Agent installed in Exchange Server 2013

Hi all,

I created Transport Agent and installed successfully in exchange server 2013.

After that mails are struck in drafts folder.

I thought because of My Custom transport Agent , then i  Uninstall Transport agent.

but still no use.

I restart Microsoft Exchange Transport Service and restart my server also.

Here is the code i used

 public sealed class MyAgentFactory : RoutingAgentFactory
    {
        public override RoutingAgent CreateAgent(SmtpServer server)
        {
            return new MyAgent();
        }
    }
    public class MyAgent : RoutingAgent
    {
        public MyAgent()
        {
            this.OnSubmittedMessage += new SubmittedMessageEventHandler(this.MySubmittedMessageHandler);
        }

        public void MySubmittedMessageHandler(SubmittedMessageEventSource source, QueuedMessageEventArgs e)
        {
            e.MailItem.Message.Subject = "This message passed through my agent: " + e.MailItem.Message.Subject;
        }
    }

I search in google about mails struck in drafts folder, all replies are

restore Default Receive Connectors. How can i restore it.

here is the link i see

friends i am sure this is not Outlook question so posting it here.

i have Exchange 2013 and generally i keep my outlook open.. but when sending mails it stuck in outbox and i have to close and reopen the outlook for the mail to go out. as if outlook looses the connection. i have outlook 2013 all patched.

not sure what to check.. not i am sure that this doesnt happen becoz of my outlook being open for long as at times i start app.. create mail and send it but it stucks in outbox and same re-open the app and then it goes.

please share your ideas what can be checked. this is happening with more then one user thats why i think this has something to do with exchange.

Exchange 2013 homeMTA attribute missing

$

Hi all,

I noticed if I create a user mailbox on exchange 2013 and check the users properties in ADSI Edit, the homeMTA attribute is missing? Is this normal?
If a user mailbox is create on exchange 2007 I can see the homeMTA attribute. But as soon as I migrate the mailbox over to exchange 2013 it disappears?

Why is there no homeMTA attribute for mailboxes on exchange 2013?

Environment:
Windows Server 2008 SP2 Domain Controller
Exchange 2007 + SP3
Exchange 2013 + CU3

Thank you

Hello All

We are in coexistence with 2007 and exchange 2013 and everything is working fine except mailbox migration, which is taking very long.

Mailbox size is average 200MB and migration for 10 mailboxes takes about 12 hours, even within the same LAN and across WAN link

The architecture is

DataCenter 1

2007 Environment
2013 CAS1
2013 Mailbox1
2013 Edge

DataCenter 2

2013 CAS2
2013 Mailbox2
2013 Edge2

Has anyone experienced problems like this before?

Thanks

Exchange Management not working (Shell & IIS)

I have a windows 2008 Server running with Exchange 2010 SP3. I installed a new Exchange Server on another Windows Server 2012 in the same domain (Exchange 2013 SP1). Everything went fine, except that I am not able to access Exchange Management not by Shell nor IIS (ECP / OWA etc...)

The following error shows up when I execute:

I am not sure, if it is a real Permission Problen, or if this is a consequence of the NullReference Object error.

Even uninstall/reinstall of the Exchange 2013SP1 did not resolved the problem. I tried everything I found in the internet, (Security Issues). BTW, if I start Exchange Management Shell,  after the connect error above, it tries and succeed to connect to the other old 2010 Exchange server.

Any help would be really appriciated!

As an individual I am eager to purchase Exchange Online Plan 1 as detailed on the below link.

http://office.microsoft.com/en-in/exchange/compare-microsoft-exchange-online-plans-FX103764022.aspx

Need to understand if I can buy and use this account as an individual. If yes, (a) I do not have a domain name for now, (b) what will be the default domain name I will receive at the time of buying, (c) can I start using the account immediately, and, (d) am I required to have any backend systems before I consider or process this purchase.

Exchange 2013 SP1 EDGE role content filtering ?

$

Hello,

Have Exchange 2013 SP1 with CU5 with antispam enabled on mailbox role server. And i wonder if i deploy 2013  Edge role, will i get more granular content filter control, like there is in Office 365? For example: i want to treat empty messages as not spam.

I have read that control of Edge server is done ONLY by powershell. So if edge role is deployed, still there is no content filter control in ECP (like in office365) ??
