Exchange Server Auth Certificate Replication

Does anyone have more detail on the replication of this certificate?

I have 4 servers in 2 primary sites in a DAG and the certificate is on all 4 servers.

I also have another 2 new servers installed a bit later in a separate 3rd site and the certificate is not present on either of them.

My understanding is that the certificate should automatically replicate to any new servers.

I'm looking for more detail about which service actually does this replication and over which port.

My network team assure me that the firewall rules between all 3 sites are the same, supposedly wide open, but who knows.

Obviously I could renew the certificate and see if that flows through but I've been told to get an understanding of how it all hangs together in case the new one doesn't replicate either. i.e. It's partially working, don't break it more.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know what's the difference between the Exchange Message Tracking Log Event IDDeliver vs. Receive?

Because when I run the same PowerShell script, it returns the different result, is it because one works for Distribution group and the other only for mailbox?

Disable lower version support of TLS/SSL - List of Exchange 2013 servers/OWA service related items

Our customer has been hosted on premise Exchange Server 2013 and currently would like to disable the lower version support of TLS/SSL due to some security requirements.

 

There is no test server (Exchange Server 2013) at our customer’s environment. It is critical for us to apply/fix the configuration required. Need your clarification on what is the recommendation or advise for us to fix this issue. Is it compulsory for us to fix it?

 

From our findings, there is a recommendation for us to use IIS Cryptor Tool to disable those features and protocol.Since this is a 3<sup>rd</sup> party tool and site that discussed about this matter, I dare not to test it at my customer environment.

 

Please help to advise us on this matter since customer is worry about this security matters.

Delete all Contents of Mail and Exclude Contacts

Hi,

I am using the following command for deletion of mailbox contents but it also delete Contacts and Calendars Items.

Search-mailbox -identity test12 -searchquery {received:01/01/2000..04/30/2018} -deletecontent

How i can exclude folder as it doesn't support "-Exclude Folder"

and on the other side  "New-MailboxSearch" doesnt support "-deletecontent".

My objective to delete all the contents from mailbox except contacts and calenders.

Hybrid environment - RoomMailbox stopped to autoaccept meeting request

Hi,

In our company we have 10 meeting rooms all with the same configuration to autoaccept a meeting booking if the room is available. But for some reason all of them have stopped to reply. I have tried to grant my user full access to the mailbox and can see that the mail with the request is in the mailbox and I'm able to accept the request on behalf of the RoomMailbox.

How to import PST to Apple Mail?

I need to import PST files in Apple Mail format. Actually, I am going to switch from windows to mac system and I am looking for the way out to transfer my outlook PST data to apple mail.

Delete all Contents of Mail and Exclude Contacts

Hi,

Exchange 2010 Public Folder Problem With Outlook2016 Installed in RDS 2016

Hello

I Have Exchange 2010 Sp 3 CU 22  And   I Had Installed Recently New RDS 2016 And Install Outlook 2016 MSI

the problem the Users Can Access All their Public Folders From Old Terminal 2008 And outlook 2010 without any problem

but From New RDS 2016 and outlook 2016 They Can Access some Public Folders and Some Public Folders the Receive "No Item to display"

Like Example Public Folder name Master

they Can Access it content from Outlook 2010 without any problem and if they try to access it from Outlook 2016 they Receive No item to display And in Outlook Button Bar it showing the Folder has more than 2K items and in same time the  exchange show in Event Viewer Error in Public Folder Database

Below is the Event Viewer log that appear if i try to access the Public Folder from Outlook 2016 if i used outlook 2010 the below event doesn't show

database copy 'Public Folder Database ' on this server encountered an error. For more information, consult the Event log for "ExchangeStoreDb" or "MSExchangeRepl" events.

Public Folder Database : The database page read from the file "D:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\Mailbox\Public Folder Database \Public Folder Database .edb" at offset 2499674112 (0x0000000094fe0000) (database page 76283 (0x129FB)) for 32768 (0x00008000) bytes failed verification due to a page checksum mismatch. The expected checksum was [71d18e2e74b90f38:332233222aff7847:1bb5e44a9dff37b1:64ea9b1508ae7bb8] and the actual checksum was [8f6f8f6fe5a56de6:5050afaf83068c33:c5693a9618b4e34a:64ea9b1508ae7bb8]. The read operation will fail with error -1018 (0xfffffc06).  If this condition persists then please restore the database from a previous backup. This problem is likely due to faulty hardware. Please contact your hardware vendor for further assistance diagnosing the problem.

AM' database copy 'Public Folder Database ' on this server appears to have an I/O error that it may be able to repair. To help identify the failure, consult the Event log on the server for other storage and "ExchangeStoreDb" events. Service recovery was attempted by failover to another copy. The failover was unsuccessful in restoring the service because of the following error: 'There is only one copy of this mailbox database (Public Folder Database ). Automatic recovery is not available..

Exchange Mailbox not available to user

Hi,

Yesterday a customer contacted us about not being able to log into his mailbox
hosted on Exchange 2010 for a few hours. I logged into the system and
indeed dit not see his mailbox in the list anymore. I thought that maybe
someone had accidently removed the user. But the mailbox does not show
up in the disabled mailboxes list.

When i run a shell command to verify the status of the mailbox it says it is
still located within the database and there is no special disabled
status mentioned. When i try to re-attach the mailbox from the shell i
get a error saying that this mailbox is already attached to the
specified user. So it seems everything is alright. When checking ADSI
edit the mailbox GUID is also attached to the specified user.

When i run a command to get a list of al mailboxes in the specified database it does not show the user in the list.

I have already ran the cleanup task on de database and the exchange server as wel as the domain controllers have been rebooted.

It looks like the mailbox is there, but for some reason not properly connected to the user.

Hello. 

I have an installation of Exchange 2013 SP1, and since a few days I continually receive this error message.

MS Filtering Engine Update process was unsuccessful in contacting the Primary Update Path. Update Path: http://forefrontdl.microsoft.com/server/scanengineupdate

Any solution?

HTML tags shown in emails sent as plain text

Exchange 2013

We stamp incoming email at our "gateway" (separate vendor) with an HTML disclaimer. When someone external sends us an email in HTML format, the disclaimer is displayed correctly when received in the Exchange mailbox. However, if an external person sends us an email in Plain Text the email arrives in the mailbox with the HTML tags displayed in the disclaimer.  This happens in both OWA and Outlook, so is not "client" dependent.

Any ideas?  Ideally, if someone external sends us an email (that we "stamp" at our external gateway), the disclaimer should just display plain text, not the html tags.

Remove AD account from server level permissions

We used a integrator to assist us with a Lotus Domino to Exchange 2013 conversion a couple of years ago and I noticed that the account they used has full permissions at the Exchange server level to all mailboxes. When new mailboxes are created, they automatically include the integrators account as well. Is there a PowerShell command that I can use to safely remove this account from our Exchange environment?

TargetAddress Attribute

Hi,

When migrating to Office 365, Exchange 2010 and 2013 do not support a staged migration because:

" In Exchange 2010 and Exchange 2013, the TargetAddress property can't be modified. This is the reason that staged Exchange migration doesn't support migrating Exchange 2010 and Exchange 2013 mailboxes to Exchange Online. "

And a response on expertsexchange (http://www.experts-exchange.com/Software/Office_Productivity/Office_Suites/MS_Office/Microsoft_Office_365/Q_28275069.html) says:

ne.com alias (routing address) for any migrated accounts. And changing the targetaddress is not supported in E2010/E2013"

My mailbox is hosted on an Exchange 2013 server and I can successfully set the attribute with adsiedit and forward mails elsewhere.

Can someone tell me:

1. What is meant by "the targetAddress property cannot be modified." - If we're talking about the AD attribute then it definitely can.

2. Is it correct that it's not supported to change this attribute? If so can someone provide me with a link to an MS article stating this as I've not been able to find one and also an explanation why.

3. May already be addressed by the answers to above but if not: Is there any harm in modifying this attribute?

I am getting huge output (more than 250 message) of undelivered messages in "Get-Message" Command, this list is increasing . These messages are not sent by me. Any help most welcomed. There is any spamming within my network?

Using variables in Out of office message End Time

Hi,

in OOF assistant of Outlook 2013 i can set Automatic replies between start time and end time.

My usual message would be "I will reply on your message on xx.xx.xxxx". I have to type/copy the end time value every time I turn OOF on.

Is there a variable I can use , like "I will reply on your message on #EndTime#"?

Or any settings or templates I can change on the Exchange 2010 server?
