Users in outlook 2016 cannot expand distribution group in hybrid environnement.

Hi everybody,

First, all my apologies for my so bad english.

So in my organisation we work on a hybrid environnement with onpremise exchange2013 and O365.

One month ago we migrate some users on O365 to test.

All works fine while users connect to Outlook.com but we have some issues when users use outlook 2016.

In fact we have onpremise distribution group on our exchnage 2013 and when users try to expand it in outlook 2016, outlook give us this error :

remove Suspended move of a system mailbox

Running a Exchange 2013 four node cluster with 30 databases, each of which is in a single DAG. While trying to delete a database I got an error about an unfinished migration.

Running Get-MoveRequestStatistics -MoveRequestQueue DB01 revealed a suspended move request of a system mailbox existed. It has no display name and reports that the account could not be found in AD. I verified the account exists and is disabled as all the other SystemMailboxes seem to be.

How can I delete or clear this move request?

Decommissioning Exchange server after migrating to Office 365 steps?

Hi All,

I’m using Azure AD Connect v 1.4.18 to Sync my On-premise AD to Azure & Office 365 as part of my
Hybrid Exchange 2013 and Office 365 setup.

I have already migrated all mailboxes to Office 365, so now I’m about to decommission the Exchange Server On-premise so that I do not have to manage Exchange and wait for the Sync in between two environment.

What’s the best way to remove the Exchange servers safely while maintaining email flow for the Outlook 365 clients?

Can I just uninstall all Exchange servers in my Data Center and then it will not impacting all mail flow in the business hours?

can't remove meeting invite

We tried to remove meeting invite from source and destination user but it keeps on coming back... with the following 

One or more problems with this meeting were detected and fixed by Exchange 2010.

Exchange 2010 re-created a meeting that was missing from your calendar. The meeting was re-created because the meeting organizer previously received an Accepted or Tentative response from you. To make sure the calendar item is up to date and the organizer has your latest status, please accept or decline the meeting from within your calendar.

Anyone installed this on Exchange 2010 servers?

It's causing Exchange 2010 Management Shell to have access denied error unless ran in elevated Administrator mode.

Will this cause issues?

Email bounces 550-'5.6.0 Lone CR or LF in headers

Today we are seeing several email bounces with following error which indicates that email wasn't properly formatted by our Exchange 2010 (fully patched) and Outlook 2016 (fully patched).

Any idea what could be causing this?

EWS & IIS Log - connections

I am seeing 2-3 million hits on my CAS IIS Log coming from a MDM application where normally I get 150,000 per day and half of them are 401 errors to EWS.  In the EWS, just 1 log (about 60 perday), I see the bulk of the log is associated with 1 user (ExchangeServicesClient/15.00.0847.030, FindItem, 200).  For example, the EWS would have 20,000 entries where 16,000 is associated with just 1 specific user.  What would be causing this?  I have reset the user's phone already and reconfigured it.

Retention policy not applied to deleted items expired

Hello,

i have an Exchange Server 2013 CU10 deployed in hybrid environment.

I apply a retention policy for "deleted items" on my mailbox

Retention Action: Delete and Allow Recovery

Retention period: When the item reaches the following age (in days): 30

But when I verify in Outlook or OWA, I have a lot of emails on “deleted items” that still exist, and I have a note on the top “this item was expired”. For the newest deleted emails, it seems that the policy works fine.

I ran Start-ManagedFolderAssistance on my mailbox to speed it up and nothing happen, and I still have those expired items on the deleted items folder.

Any idea if there is a bug?

Grant Security Group Owner rights to all Meeting Rooms in Exchange

I have already pulled a csv with all of the samaccoutnames of the meeting rooms.

Am looking for a script that will grant owner rights to this Security Group in AD if possible.

What should my settings be to create a new default front end receive connector?

In Exchange 2013, I'd like to create a new default front end connector for my exchange 2013 server.

I have a bunch of entries in the current default and rather than copy and past all of them, I'd like to temporarily disable it and create a new one.

Role - Frontend Transport?

Type: Internet? 

I know what I want on the following pages but I'm never 100% positive on the remaining because I don't know how to look at how the originals were set up for those two items.   Not sure why those aren't available for viewing after they are created in the GUI.    There might be a powershell command to find that out but I never know any powershell commands.

Problem with IMCEAEX errors in a non standard setup

Hello all,

We use Office 365 for our own email accounts and also pick up some client hosted email accounts from their Exchange 2013 server, we connect in to pick these up by using a VPN. So we pick up both accounts through our own Outlook and the client hosted email is setup as a normal Exchange active directory based account in our Outlook.

We have recently set the client email up for someone else on our end and they are randomly getting the IMCEAEX errors on new emails they send from their non client account to client email accounts. I am setup the same way but have not had this problem myself.

I know with this error type the permanent fix would be to update the x500 proxy addresses, but obviously that isn’t the going to help here as the recipient isn’t internal.

This week they sent an email to 9 client recipients from their non client account and it bounced for 6 recipients with the IMCEAEX error. However, when I asked to look at their autocomplete entries for these recipients, they were all correct. I still think it is an autocomplete issue, but it is clearly manifesting in a strange way.

Any ideas of how to tackle or fix this?

Issue: Share calendar between exchange on-premises(exchange 2013) and exchange online in hybird enviroment

Currently, We have an issues:

User on Exchange on-premises can see calendar users on the Exchange online, Nevertheless the user on exchange online can NOT see users on Exchange on-premises. We used tool via this url https://testconnectivity.microsoft.com to check autodiscovery

with the result that there's no problem (the user on exchange online can see users on Exchange on-premises).

On Outlook-app we use Fiddle Tool to trace log (image1). 

Base on log, we realize that Autodiscover had tookEWS( Ex: https://mail.contoso.com/EWS/exchange.asmx) of users on-premises. But in next step it uses [outlook.office365.com/EWS/exchange.asmx] instead of using [https://mail.contoso.com/EWS/exchange.asmx], so that there's no information calendar of user on-premises.

i have searched on the Active Directory but i can't find. I have noticed it's affecting my Exchange services for i keep running ADPREP for Exchange to work.

Exchange tracking log for event id expand only showing 1 week of data

We have message tracking log enabled for one month and able to search messages against tracking logs but when i use message tracking with eventid expand command it is giving output for only 7 days.

Hi there

Some mails from external senders aren't reaching mailboxes on Exchange 2013 standard... 
Error: the message couldn t be delivered [{ lrt led 250 2.0 0 ok };{ fqdn ip =}]

Anyone have a clue how I can resolve this matter please?

Hello,

We are in the process of setting up our exchange hybrid environment.

mail flows in almost any direction except from on prem to our 365 email accounts.

All email flows to 365 first (MX to outlook.com server)

I can send from 3<sup>rd</sup> party to on prem.  

I can send from 3<sup>rd</sup> party to office 365

I can send from on prem to 3<sup>rd</sup> party

I can send from office 365 to 3<sup>rd</sup> party

I can send from office 365 to on prem

I CANNOT send from on prem to 365

The error I get when trying to send from on prem to 365  is -Remote Server returned '550 5.1.1 RESOLVER.ADR.RecipNotFound; not found'

Bouncebacks when sending to sister domain.

I manage two domains.  Both have exchange servers.

When my user tries to send an email from one domain to the other, randomly she will get bouncebacks.  After the bounceback she send again to the same addresses with no problems.

The headers indicate that although she send to user@humboldtwholesale.com, outlook tries to send it to user@house-garden.us, which is the domain she is sending from.   After she gets the bounceback, she can send again to the same address and it goes through.

Exchange 2010 service pack 3

EOL for exchange 2010 is supposed to be next week so I am trying to get things downloaded and migrated to exhange online.

Exchange Management Console Initialization Failed

We have installed Exchange Server 2010 and AD Directory (Server 2012 R2) on a single machine. Suddenly the exchange management console failed to initialize and giving below error. It is most probably after some recent changes with SPNs of exchange users. Please guide in this regards that what is way out to come out of this issue;
