I'm in the process of migrating all Public Folders from Exchange 2007 SP3 over to Exchange 2013 SP1.
When I start the migration process, I run >Get-PublicFolderMigrationRequestStatistics
I keep getting a 'TransientFailure' at %15
When looking at the report, I see this entry "Transient error MapiExceptionNotFound has occurred. The system will retry (4/60)"
I can't seem to find any solution. Can anyone point in the right direction?

In Exchange 2013 is there a way to filter out emails sent to a DL via the BCC line? I have a request to prevent this for some specific DLs.

We recently had some connectivity issues with clients sporadically disconnecting, it was decided that we would switch to MAPI instead of RPC/HTTP.
I have moved a handful of people over to MAPI but now they are unable to expand their oniine archive due to the below error message:
Cannot expand the folder. The set of folders cannot be opened. The attempt to log on to Microsoft Exchange failed
The users left on RPC are working as usual and can expand their folders, if the MAPI users login to OWA, they expand their archives without issue.
I have office 2013 SP1 x64 installed and we are running on the latest Exchange 2013 CU.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We are currently moving mailboxes from our Exchange 2010 environment to our Exchange 2013/O365 environment as part of our Email Improvement Project.
Given also that we are running out of space where our EDBs and transaction log files are stored in our Exchange 2010, I would like to ask if moving mailboxes from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013/O365 will generate lots of logs also in the source DBs in Exchange 2010? As far as I know, these relative logs will be generated only in the destination DBs, in this case, Exchange 2013/O365. Please advise.
We have been monitoring our Exchange 2010 disk spaces, and we are seeing that logs are consuming the disk spaces during migration period to Exchange 2013.

Hi all,currently, we are migrating our 2007 Environment to 2013
Following scenario.
User A is manager of a distribution group "Group A"
All members of this group, including him, have their mailboxes on 2007. "Group A" is not upgraded. User A is able to manage this group.
User A is now migrated to 2013. Now he is unable to manage Group A anymore, OWA error says the object should be version 14.0.xxx
I assume, I can fix that error by upgrading this distribution group (by using -forceupgrade)
But my question is:
Is there a way to "downgrade" the group via Powershell, if something goes wrong, or only a way to go back will be to recreate the group in 2007 Environment?

i have an Exchange 2013 (migrated from 2007 i guess..) and a few room mailboxes.
So basically if i made a calendar meeting with the room mailbox and there is also another meeting, it gets the state "reservation" and not reject automatically.
AllowConflicts ist False, so i would expect, that this meeting will be accepted or reserved.
Do you have an idea why it gets automatically rejected and not reserved?!

We have two exchange server 2010 in our organization.
MBX - Exchange Server 2010 SP3
HUB/CAS -- Exchange Server 2010 SP3 ---- No DAG in ORG
We deploy exchange server 2013 cu11 for hybrid configuration.
Now, most of the client machine disconnecting in outlook profile and it take 30 min to connect exchange server 2010.
even we shutdown the exchange server 2013 and configuring the outlook profile in one of the machine but when we type the servername and username after that check name its getting servername resolve with exchange server 2013.
can you pls advice what need to do.

Hello - I currently have an Exchange Hybrid setup in my lab. I am using it not only to learn about an Exchange Hybrid configuration, but also Exchange in general as we are looking to move our mail to O365 in a Hybrid Configuraiton.
I am working my way though a few books. Regarding creating shared mailboxes, the book I am currently working through "Office 365 for Exchange Professionals" states the following:
"...Another effective workaround - albiet unsupported - is to first create a shared cloud mailbox in Office 365 and then use the 'soft-matching' process to connect the on-premises object and cloud-object with one another."Dear Team,
ECP / OWA working, Exchange power shell also working but power shell session broken after 2/3 min.

I've just finished migrating my public folders from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013 (using the instructions in this article: http://www.msexchange.org/articles-tutorials/exchange-server-2013/migration-deployment/migrating-public-folders-exchange-2013-part1.html.
Now I am about to remove the old public folder database.
However, when I try to remove the database I receive the following error message: "Organization "Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)" wasn't found. Make sure you typed the name correctly."
The "Remove-PublicFolderDatabase" cmdlet outputs the same error message.
Does anyone know what might be the cause of this error message?

We have a forest with multiple domains and thousands of user account. Our company is going to sign a contract with a third party company and out source the deployeent of exchange.
The problem is if we allow them to deploy exchange, they will be in our forest and they will have access to our forest resources. Also in future we want to have our own exchange deployement for FIM usage and other. The third party company wants to use our user resources and assign mailboxes to them. We dont want the in our AD, as simple as that.
Is it possible to let them have their exchange in their forest but with user account in our forest? I am thinking to FIM, but what are other options?
