My exchange Server Version is EX16STD and few days ago i import contacts list from text file(contact List Name is ExternalUser). Now I didn't find the external user contact information from my windows phone but android phone showing all contact person as like local.

I am in the process of setting up exchange 2013 SP1 CU 12.  The email is currently a POP3 system hosted off site.  Is there any information that would be like a cookbook for instructions.  Exchange is installed, and while there is a ton of information available, there does not seem to be any one stop shop that will take the installation from ground zero to handling the email and group calendar.

Since this is the first time being exposed to exchange, knowing what server 2003 and exchange 2007 is not a helpful resourts.  The exchange is running on server 2012 R2 Standard edition.

We are having issues with Office365 users sending to our exchange server. We are a small exchange shop. No office365 here. But we have had 3 DIFFERENT domains sending emails our direction receiving the '550 4.4.7 QUEUE.Expired; message expired' returned email error messages. When using gmail or any other mail service we've tried this issue does not happen. What does Office365/hosted exchange look for differently than any other service?

I am replacing a SBS 2008 server  which was running Exchange. I putting in a Windows Server 2012 R2 Esentials box and a companion box running 2012 r2 standard. It has a VM of Exchange 2013 sp1 running on and another VM server app.  The Exchange 2013 is intergrated into Essentials Dashboard.

Let say the  domain is www.mytown.com. I Currently have a Public DNS MX record   remote.mytown.com ponting back to my static ip address.

This is what I have done so far on  Exchange 2013 Server:

1. I create a send connector called  ext internet and enabled.

Deliver y  MX Record associated with recipient domain.

Type SMTP Domain = *   cost 1

Selected my exchange server as source server.

1. Added accepted domains.

Local AD domain was already there.

I added  mytown.com    and made it authoritative

1. Configured  Adderess Policies.

I left the default as is, but created a new one called External Email. Priority 1

Address format   smtp    alias@mytown.com

Apply to all receipts

1. Configured External  URL’s

Configured Servers->Servers->Outlook Anywhere

Made external host name  mail.mytown.com

Made internal host name  mail.mytown.com

Left at Negociate

Left allow ssl offhosting checked

In Servers>Virtual directories. I selected my exchange server.

I Selected a virtual directory and then, in the virtual directory details pane, verify that theExternal URL field is populated with the correct FQDN and service as shown below:

2. When I deploy on site I Plan to have a public DNS record added as a MX record for mail.mytown.com pointing to my static ip. Do I need to do more?
3.  I am about to  Configure internal and external URLs to be the same.

I am pretty much an exchange rookie here - but we are moving our on prem non-Exchange mail environment to Office 365 Exchange Online in about 2 weeks.

I just came across a scenario I am looking for guidance on.  We have a in-house developed application that handles a majority of our ERP functions (WMS, Accounting, Purchasing, etc).  Part of this application generates and emails purchase orders from the person that is doing the purchasing.

I have created an account (enterprise.system) that my developers can use to successfully send email (as enterprise.system).  However, a requirement of the system is that it can send Purchase Orders to external vendors as, for example, me. The error they are receiving states that enterprise.system does not have permission to send as the sender.  This makes complete sense.

My question is - how is this problem typically solved?  I know I can't use direct send because I need to send to external users.  Should I / Would you give this account send as permissions on each individual mailbox?  Is there a better way? That seems like a little bit of a management nightmare.

 I am using Exchange 2010 and I am trying to change all users default  calander permissions. I found a good PS scirpt that reads all  mailboxes and changes the permission, but there are few calender which can not be changed.

 I get this error

I have a powershell script that used to create an html file but is now being converted to a csv file.

Most of it is working. There is a part in the script where it finds the last logon for the user to be 0 or greater than 30 days and it used to highlight these users in red in the html file.

I am trying to work out a way to do a similar thing in the csv file. I realise you can't change colours in the csv file but I wanted to see if an extra column with say yes could be added next to the users who have a logon of 0 or greater than 30 days.

i am moving mailbox from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013.

During this i found that if user first name or last name has some special characters (like swidish language) or some other language. during the move its primary SMTP chnage. it is chngeing special characters to english.

can you give me some idea how we can fix that.

While comple english name has no impact on it.

My Exchange 2013 server is in english and company is not UK based.

I have been moving mailboxes to specific database in a larger project involving a DAG with respect to offices and location.  Everything have been working fine in regards to mailbox moves etc..until yesterday when I notice 10 queued mailbox set for a move but no progress and a large mailbox I set for a move but stopped via remove-moverequest because I want to take the opportunity to trim these large mailbox via archive PST. 

During this time, I noticed in EMC that 'Database Mailbox 2' (whom all the queued moved mailbox is moving to btw) is in a 'Failed and Suspended' state on the remote DAG site.  We are in the process of re-seeding the specific database to the DAG.  I have ran get-moverequest | remove-moverequest

To stop all queued moves while seeding, but in Exchange Management Shell, I run

get-moverequeststatistics -moverequestqueue "Mailbox Database 2" 

and still see the queued move mailboxes.  What is funny is, in EMC, under Move Request, I don't see any mailbox in queue only in EMS.  What is causing this? 

So the issue I'm having is any move request to 'Mailbox Database 2' is queued, but no move progress.  When I try to remove the move request, it stays in the EMS, but is removed in EMC.

Hope this is not too confusing to read.  Please let me know if you can help!

I have few questions i will number them please give me some suggestions on them

I use streaming notification for getting meeting details from exchange. When exchange sends itemId i querry exchange using that particularID to get meeting details for normal meeting and then i save it. But when coming to recurring meetings it just sends one Item ID which ReccuringmasterID i guess and when i use this ID to querry it just gives me one meeting.

Anyway all the meetings reccuring meetings have same data initially so its not a problem i can just save it into database.

1) But what i want was to get all the occurenceIDS by using this RecurringmasterID is it possibile in this way. I would greatly appriciate if you can me some example if there is way querry this

2) when a single occurence is cancelled i am getting modification event then i tried to querry using that ID but when i used IsCanceled method it is showing False. But why was a canceled meeting is showing false. if i just querry all the meetings again it is not there.

So how can i get information about canceled occurence.

I have an Exchange 2013 CU8 server (Win2012R2) in hybrid mode sitting behind a proxy server. Free busy info of online mailboxes is not working from on-premise mailboxes. I have chased the problem to EWS not appearing to use the proxy.

I have set the IE proxy. I have set the WinHTTP proxy. I have set the InternetWebProxy.

A WireShark trace also shows the token request coming directly from the server, bypassing any proxy set.

I have also tried to set the proxy directly in the web.config file of EWS, but that has no affect either.

This is really strange. Any thoughts?

I see that the script StartDAGServerMaintenance Mode only stop the HighAvailibitity. Is this right to shutdown the Server.

and what does this mean: Is this because we have only 2 Servers?

This morning an Exchange 2013 system wasn't working properly and I found the database was not mounted.  After looking into it, it was due to corruption on log files.  I ended up moving all of the log/chk files to a temp directory so it was just the EDB file in the mailbox directory and then ran the eseutil /p command then everything mounted up and seemed to go ok.  

Now this afternoon the same has happened again!  I tried the same fix, move all log/chk to another dir but when I run the eseutil /p command I get this now.

"Operation terminated with error -1605 (JET_errKeyDuplicate, Illegal duplicate key) after 14.62 seconds."

When I run the eseutil /mh it shows clean shutdown?  Not sure what to do to get this database repaired/mounted.

How can I find all the mailboxes that do not have a value in the ExtensionCustomAttribute1Attribute? I have tried several things with no luck. Below are a few things that I have tried:

Get-Mailbox | where {$_.ExtensionCustomAttribute1 -eq {}}

Hi, good afternoon, we're having problems migrating 2 users, the message that we get is:

MigrationPermanentException: The target mailbox doesn‎'t have an SMTP proxy matching ‎'mycompanyo365tenant.mail.onmicrosoft.com‎

It's clear that the SMTP Address is missing, but, in my On-Premises Server, the SMTP is added, in the user, also, the Default Policy in the Exchange Server is set to add that SMTP Address to the users, and finally the ADSync does not present any error with this change, so, what are we missing?

I ran, and saw that with those users the name mycompanytenant in user1 .mail.onmicrosoft.com doesn't exist, no matter how many times I force the ADSync that attribute from Office 365 does not change.

Both users are in my On Premises Site.

Some help would it be nice, thanks in advance!!
