Hello

I am a GMAIL user on private domain sending email to a outlook.com user on private domain and continuously get these errors when sending email. These domains are for large multi national companies so changing email addresses is not possible.

The sending email domain has SPF and DKIM records for authentication and is not listed in any SPAM database. We have checked absolutely everything on our end but cannot find an issue. 

I have been trough the process with Outlook.com Deliver-ability Support to check the IP's of G Mail servers are not blocked - and as expected they are not. 

I am really looking for some help on how to resolve this issue or even someone to contact.

Exchange 2013 Sizing Calculator

It looks like the Exchange 2013/2016 server roles and sizing calculators has been pulled from the website.  Does anyone have a copy of it they can share with me?  We are upgrading from 2007 and need to do an interim upgrade to 2013 before going to 2019.  Any help would be appreciated!!

Hi all, this happens about twice per hour and started some days ago, no reconfigs etc that should make it do that as far as I can find. Have been running CU6 for some months without this happening until recently.

Also getting AppEventID 1007:

Failed to create or start performance logs with error: System.ArgumentException: Value does not fall within the expected range.

   at PlaLibrary.DataCollectorSetClass.start(Boolean Synchronous)

   at Microsoft.Exchange.Diagnostics.PerformanceLogger.PerformanceLogSet.StartLog(Boolean synchronous)

   at Microsoft.Exchange.Diagnostics.PerformanceLogger.PerformanceLogMonitor.CheckPerflogStatus(). Performance log: ExchangeDiagnosticsPerformanceLog.

Found this article http://blogs.technet.com/b/anya/archive/2014/11/25/microsoft-exchange-diagnostics-service-crashing-post-cu6-upgrade.aspx, but I do not actually understand what the "fix" really is here, many steps are made for Diagnostics buth which of those are necessary to take? And I'm not so into exporting/importing those XMLs.. I have only one E2013-server also.

Hope someone can clarify this. I was thinking of installing CU7 if that might fix it, but I'm not sure if I dare in danger of running into trouble with things not working as they should.

Hide Default GAL for second domain

Can I change Exchanger server product key to Standard from Enterprise on installed Exchange server?

I already installed Exchange server 2013 and installed product key of Enterprise license.

But customer said. He want to change product key to Standard.

Can I change product key without reinstall Exchange? How can I do it?

Sync between Offline Address Book and Exchange Global Address List

Hello,

1- My Outlook Client is in cached Exchange mode. If I make change in offline version of GAL (offline Address book), will those changes be synced to Exchange GAL? For example, Distribution List created on Exchange Server showing as contact group in Outlook However, changes made by manager in membership of Outlook version of Distribution List also reflects on Exchange version of Distribution List. I mean sync between Offline Address book and Exchange GAL are both directions?

2- Assuming Outlook is in cached Exchange mode, what are other settings/data except mailbox that sync (one way or two way) between Outlook and Exchange?

I was trying to perform an offline DB defrag but couldn't even get past step one. When I tried to dismount the DB I got this error...

Staged vs Cutover Migration to Exchange Online

I'm trying to understand the technical difference between Staged and Cutover Migrations.  They both use Outlook Anywhere migration endpoints and the same PowerShell commands for the batches, except the Staged takes a CSV file as a parameter for users. But Staged requires DirSync, and Cutover cannot have DirSync.  Also Staged is not supported in Exchange 2010/2013/2016, while cutover works.  

So I guess I am just struggling to understand what is happening behind the scenes that prevents Staged migration in these later versions.  Is it a technical limitation?  What would prevent Staged from working but allow Cutover to work if they use the same migration endpoints?  It almost makes more sense to have the opposite.  To only support Outlook Anywhere migration endpoints and Dirsync when the Exchange Servers are closer in version to Exchange Online and have more similar schemas.  and if you were using an older version of exchange, then only cutover would work because it doesn't use Dirsync.  But that's not how it is.

Please don't just point me to the popular technet articles.  I've read them all.  And I'm looking for a deeper explanation.

Hi,

probably this is a silly question, but anyway i try.

I have wildcard certificate for domain xxxx.it 

Our exchange server host both yyyyy.it and zzzzz.com email addresses.

when users that have only xxxx.it email, they manage to use outlook without problems, if the user who has other 2 domains in email address they receive a warning like tajta :

autodiscover.yyyy.it

saying that certificate name does not correspond to the name of the site.



is there a way to let outlook to not check it  (while  we ask for wildacard certificate, multidomain)

i found this kb

i hoped it could help, buit each time the user log in he continue to receive the warning

Mail flow in a hybrid environment

I have a hybrid environment. I choose to keep a few mailboxes stored in my on-prem server and the rest in my cloud server. I have a common domain name (@abc.com) for both the servers. Now, if someone sends an email to user1@abc.com, how will the mail flow? How will the architecture figure out whether the mailbox is stored in on-prem or cloud and route the message to that mailbox?

How to add the missing Exchange Security Groups in a user mailbox?

Hi Everyone,

We are performing mailbox migration from On-Prem Exchange 2013 to Exchange Online (O365) using a 3rd party tool.  The user mailbox on the left side of the attached screenshot is having issue being migrated.  Comparing it to the other mailboxes that were migrated successfully, its missing these Exchange Security Groups.  How can we add them for this user's mailbox?  Cant seem to do it on ECP.  Please advise.

Attachments and in-line insert picture not being received by recipient

Exchange 2013 CU22

Outlook Client

Her is what just started happening. If I insert a picture in an email or an attachment and successfully send to the eMail recipient, the picture or attachment does not appear when the recipient opens the email.

My transporter is comcast.

this is not universal. failure occurs on comcast.com. gMail & yahoo.com domains of recipients. I have successfully tested to a WowWay.com domain with no problem.

Attachments are all <10 MB ( 4 MB picture & attachment).

Any thoughts appreciated.

Hello we have a client who swears his centralized mail transport is enabled. I run Get-HybridConfiguration | fl Features and there is no CentralizeTransport there. Just want to make sure i am not missing anything is there another way to verify if its enabled

Information Store Randomly stops

Hello,

I had this happen twice before. the Information Store randomly just stops or quit mid day. One time we had to restart the exchange server in the middle of the day. Just now, I had to restart the exchange server right before opening day.

Is there something I should check? I don't want this something like this to happen again during working hours.
